Everything is now official. I am no longer the High School Pastor at Crosspointe. I am now the lead Pastor of Freedom Church. That still sounds insane to me.
Since we have not left TN as of yet, Todd and I have set up an office at Merge Realty. Dan Craddock is the man for allowing us to use some office space until we sell the houses, etc.
Now we are praying for the houses to sell as quickly as possible so that we can begin the transition to Acworth. Pray with us, for us, and/or anything else you can think of. Gracias!

Today, Lexi, my oldest little girl turned 5 years old. I am not sure how I feel about this otherwise very normal day. I am very sure that I do not like this reality. Reasons I am not liking the 5 year birthday…
1. She starts kindergarten in August! That is ridiculous! The fact that I am about to have a daughter in school - freaks me out.
2. She is one year closer to 16. Every guy who has a daughter understands why that is a VERY big deal. It has nothing to do with a car by the way.
3. I loved the 4 year old stage… At this point I am the center of my little girls universe. Will it stay that way - at least for another year?
I could go on and on… All that being said - I love Lexi and London. They are the best little girls in the world and I am proud to be their dad. They are growing up way too fast - God help me! Seriously!
No commentsBoxes, Boxes, Boxes
Yesterday was the last official work day at Crosspointe. It was strange to walk out of that office and see everything cleared off the bookshelves and nothing on the walls.Â
There isn’t even anything left in, under, or behind my desk. The laptop and I did have to part ways yesterday unfortunately.  Leaving behind the laptop was sad mainly because it means that I have to go and buy one for myself. Â

Wordpress has been driving me insane! For the past two days I have not been able to type in the Post box which keeps me from being able to blog at all. For now, we are up and running.Â
Wordpress has officially made my prayer list.
No commentsH2O
This has been the strangest week around the office. Knowing that I only have a couple days left as the High School Pastor at Crosspointe - freaks me out tremendously. It is such a weird feeling.Â
I have been thinking about all the crazy stuff we have done and the incredible things that we have seen God do at H2O…
Mechanical Bull Riding
Bobbing for $500
M&M Bowl 1 and 2
The infamous “How to Have Great Sex” series…Â the list goes on and on…
A lot has happened and God has done things that most people never experience in ministry. Most importantly, we saw several hundred (not exaggerating) students saved and baptized the past 4 years. It has been an amazing journey!Â
Thank you Jesus and thank you H2O (staff, leaders, students)! In the words of Daughtry…It’s Not Over!

Todd and I had to tag-team preach last night at an event put on by the student ministry. It was definitely an interesting experience that ended up going very well. I wouldn’t want to make a habit of that style - but it was fun to try and pull off one time.Â
Jeff, Josh, Justin, Brent, and Carmen did an incredible job as always and we had a great night!Â

The temporary site for Freedom Church is up and running. This will serve as our under construction page for the next few months and then a brand new site will be unleashed as we get closer to launch Sunday.Â
 It will be amazing!
No commentsExcellence
Excellence.  It’s more than just “doing”. Excellence isn’t just something you do - it is someone you are.Â
We were purchased with the best God had to offer. He spared no expense. Through Christ - those who follow Him have the same opportunity to spare no expense in living a life of excellence.Â
Allow excellence to be a characteristic of your life - not just something that you strive for when people are watching. The standard is high - but so are the rewards.Â
No commentsJust plain weird…
We have had several guys who are interested in leading the student ministry after Todd and I move to Acworth. These are guys who will serve in an interim type position until Crosspointe can find the full time High School and Middle School Pastor to come on board.Â
Last night one of these guys came to hang out at H2O to get a feel for who we are, etc. I showed him around and talked to him quite a bit after the event was over. He loved every aspect of what we did and he seemed like a cool guy. Keep in mind that this may or may not be the guy. He might even be a better fit for MS than HS. Still very early in the game. This is where it gets a little weird…
From the moment I saw him I had mixed emotions about the whole thing and I couldn’t figure out why. It’s almost like I was trying to figure out reasons to hate him and throw him off a bridge. Before you think I am a lunatic, here is what it felt like…
Imagine being married and knowing that you are going to die in 2 weeks. Because you love your family - you are conducting interviews, etc. to help pick out the best person on the planet to take care of them. But then it hits you. You are interviewing and hanging out with the person who is going to be married to your wife and take care of your kids.Â
No matter how much you like the guy - that is a pretty strange reality.Â
No commentsATL update
Yesterday was insane! We had a couple meetings in Atlanta that we had to be at and those went very well. We did look at one house that was quite interesting. I am still very excited that I didn’t fall off the top deck because if I did - I am convinced I would still be rollling down the hill located in the back yard.Â
The meeting with the Association went perfectly. People were excited and Freedom Church is now official in the State of GA.Â
It was quite an interesting trip. We encountered an extremely large man on our airplane who decided it would be a great idea to carry on an entire box of Popeye’s Chicken. Sitting next to him would have been an incredibly greasy experience in more ways than one. Let’s just say that he attempted to sprint to the bathroom immediately upon landing; however, he never even made it off the plane…
