Casa
We have been waiting to recieve a counter offer on our house in TN for the past three days. I am not the most patient person in the world so it is driving me out of my mind.
We are supposed to hear something today. Keeping my fingers crossed!
No commentsDid I shave my legs for this…
Lexi, my 5 yr. old little girl just asked if she could start shaving her legs. That freaks me out tremendously and I realized even more that I want her to be 5 yrs. old for a very long time.
For the record - we told her NO!
2 commentsLearning curve
One thing I am learning about this whole church planting thing is that I have a ton to learn! I am having a blast learning from different pastors, church planters, businessmen, etc.
It is a crazy process because it feels like the more answers I receive, the more questions I have. If you are a church planter anywhere in this country or a pastor in the Acworth area - just go ahead and be expecting a phone call or email from me in the near future.
I want to learn and I want to learn from you! Let’s partner together to reach the 95,000 people that are disconnected from God and the church within a 5 mile radius of our area!
Reach Atlanta - reach the world!

Devin and the girls finally got home early this morning. They were stuck at the airport in Dallas from 9 AM till after 6 PM trying to get on a flight to Atlanta to pick up London (1 yr. old) and head to Memphis. The plan didn’t quite work out. They finally got to Atlanta late last night, stayed at my sister and brother in law’s house, and went back to the airport to catch a 7AM flight this morning.
After a very annoying day at the airport - they finally made it. Lexi now knows random people from all over the country as she decided to take camera phone pictures of everyone she saw. So to all the people from Taiwan, Singapore, and Botswana….thanks for entertaining my 5 yr. old!

America is at it again…
Two year in a row - the American public will pick the wrong person to win American Idol. I am pretty sure that I do not even have to prove my point on this one.
Blake and Jordin are good - but Melinda was by far the best singer. This year’s winner can go and make Chevrolet commercials with what’s his head while Melinda does her thing.
Crazy picks two years in a row. That is why the best part of the show is at the beginning when everyone is terrible. Can’t beat that.

We received great news today that we will be able to obtain up to 25 guest chairs, 8-10 office chairs, 5 desks, and several phones from NorthStar. Mike Linch is the man and has been very helpful in the past 6 days that I have known him ![]()
Given the fact that we have quite a bit of office equipment it is now important that we begin the process of looking for some EXTREMELY cheap office space in Acworth. If anyone knows of anything (remember the key word - cheap) please let me know ASAP!
We have been told that having the office at one of our houses is a very bad idea! So in order to keep our families loving us for as long as possible we are officially on the lookout for some great (yet very inexpensive) space for us and our newly donated items to crash. Gracias!
No commentsWeird Story of the week
Thought I saw a mouse in the garage the other day so I put out two glue traps. Went to check this morning and saw a mouse just chillin with his face stuck in the glue. I went to pick up the trap and Mickey started squirming scaring me half to death.
Eventually I got the trap out to the center of the garage to show Todd when he came over to run, etc. I was going to just throw Mickey away but he looked thirsty. I poured a mysterious liquid on him but it loosened the glue and off he went into the yard. I couldn’t let him get away so I started chasing him with a baseball bat. Long story short - Mickey is dead. He was lying in the street peacefully until a gigantic combine truck came by and ran him over. He has definitely had a very bad day. For all the people out there thinking their day has gone horribly wrong - just think of Mickey.
1 commentDr. Falwell
Just received word that Jerry Falwell, one of the greatest visionary leaders the world has ever seen, has died. The first time I ever met Dr. Falwell he tackled me at First Baptist Woodstock. The kind of tackle where he literally knocked me on the floor from behind when I was a 16 year old high school kid.
Over the past 11 years I have had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Falwell a few times. Every time I spoke with him - he was extremely personable and down to earth. The last time I had the privilege of meeting with him was 2 years ago at a conference in TN. I drove him to and from the airport and asked him as many questions as I possibly could in that time. When we got to the airport - he invited Josh, Todd, and I into his private jet to look around and finish the conversation.
Jerry Falwell was a difference maker. His lived a life that will outlast him and his legacy will continue for years to come. Thank you Dr. Falwell for encouraging me to dream huge dreams and to not be afraid to attempt to change the world.

Since MLC is going to be needing some help this summer in their worship ministry, our worship leader, Stevie, is going to be helping them out quite a bit over the next couple of months. I am pumped that he will get this opportunity.
Shawn and the staff at MLC are incredible and that environment will be great for Stevie to learn in. He will do a great job out there so if you are anywhere near Cumming, GA head on out to MLC on
June 9,10
June 16, 17

There are three other weekends as well but I don’t have those dates as of yet. MLC is always great but the place will be rocking even more on those dates. Go check it out!
No commentsAlmost…
We are in the middle of some very interesting discussions regarding our opening blitz to get our name out in the community. We aren’t going to unleash everything until much closer to our launch date, but the discussions are already developing.
One thing is for sure - it will have people talking. Some will love it. Some will hate it. But everyone will have an opinion. Wish I could write more about it now, but the time is not yet right. This will be mucho bueno!
