Quick post before bed…

1. A roach attacked us at the breakfast buffet at Ponderosa. Never going there again on purpose.

2. Devin had to booty dance in front of a few hundred ladies. Now she is famous and I am known as the dancing girls husband.

3. Donovan McNabb is a baby and needs to get over himself. We aren’t being hard on you for any other reason than that you are always hurt and you refuse to win games.

4. I think it’s more funny to hear jokes that I don’t understand than to hear jokes that I do understand.

5. Baked Beans and Lettuce. Two things that are on the breakfast buffet at Ponderosa. Gotta love that.

Sometimes the ideas, dreams, and vision that God has put in our mind regarding Freedom Church seem insane! There are things that we are already discussing that usually don’t even enter the conversation for quite some time if at all in the life of a church. Are we getting ahead of ourselves? I don’t think so…

I just believe that if God is behind this whole Freedom Church thing - than we have no choice but to rapidly advance. There is no stopping what He wants to do. Some people say to “slow down and wait on God”…I am convinced that He is not lagging behind hoping that I will slow down so that He can catch up! He is out front - leading us in the direction we should go - and we are doing everything we can to follow His lead and keep up with His pace.

We got to Orlando on time this morning and have not stopped eating since we got here. I am going to have to run an extra couple miles every day or this will get out of control!

It is going to be great to hang out and reconnect with a ton of people this week. Gotta love getting together with people you only see a couple times a year.

Much more to come tomorrow. For now, got an Eagles game to catch.

1. Good launch team meeting tonight! Several new families were there and the foundation is growing.

2. Devin and I are getting on a plane tomorrow morning for a conference in Orlando…

3. Eagles on Monday Night Football.

4. Big Brother Finale on Tuesday.

5. Miami and Texas A&M on Thursday.

6. I am crazy excited about a ridiculous idea we have to unleash very soon after our launch date of January 27th.

7. I watched an entire High School football game on TV yesterday. I would take either quarterback I saw in that game over the last 2 we have had at The U.

8. Looking forward to getting away for a few days, but I am already pumped about Sunday night!

I went back to Kindergarten today to eat lunch with Lexi. It was pretty hilarious.

1. Me and some kid named Gregory sang the Peanut Butter Jelly Song

2. I listened to another kid burp his ABC’s.

3. Lexi introduced me to every single person in the cafeteria.

4. Found out you are not allowed to bring your dog or your cigarettes to school. Random I know - but a kid actually told me that.

Interesting time. School is a lot more enjoyable when you can just show up for lunch and then walk out the door.

Great day today meeting with people and planning the new launch team meeting format that will kick off this Sunday night at 6PM.

Pumped about adding music to the mix and getting into the new venue at NorthStar. It will be a great change of pace and a huge step up from what we have been doing.

We get telemarketing calls all the time. I am sure you do as well.

Usually it is for magazines or something like that, but tonight was a little bit different.

The phone rang. Devin answered, listened for a few minutes, then hung up laughing hysterically. Come to find out…

Some girl from Girls Gone Wild just called my house trying to sell us discounted DVD’s.

I guess she decided not to buy any… That is crazy (not that she didn’t buy any, but that they called in the first place).

One of the books I am reading right now is called Grace Works. I am learning that I consistently struggle with the temptation to prove myself to other people and to God.

Even Jesus had to deal with insecurity. When Satan tempted Him to prove Himself by doing some tricks on top of a mountain, Jesus felt no need to prove His Divinity. He was comfortable in who His Father had already said He was. His identity was already settled. As a follower of Jesus, the same is true for us…

We are forgiven totally, accepted fully, and capable of living out of our wholeness and not our sickness.

We are praying and trusting God for some huge things in the next several weeks. We will get an answer soon on something that will position us to reach more people than I thought possible at this point in the game.

We met with a guy today about our sound/lighting/video needs at the school. We should hear soon what price we are looking at - but I am excited about the possibilities of doing this and doing it right from day one.

We are also adding several new dimensions to our launch team meetings. Everything changes beginning this Sunday night! Can’t wait!

I am not even sure what to say about this…
