Aliens

November 09th, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

I have had some pretty interesting discussions in the past several days…

Talked with one guy about a book brought to earth by aliens - and how it picks up where the Bible left off. Really cool guy. Really strange book.

Talked to two other guys about their frustration with Transvestites. He said that he is always afraid that he might be talking to a “guy in disguise” so he always figures out a way to make sure. I didn’t contribute much to the discussion, because they were the two funniest people I have ever talked to. Couldn’t stop laughing.

There are more - but these two were the best!

Launch team dinner

November 08th, 2007 | Category: Freedom Church

We had a blast last night spending time with a bunch of the people from the launch team.

I have heard it said that if you want people to bleed - than you will have to hemorrhage. Apparantly, that is happening because we have some bleeders on our team!

I love it! The stories I heard last night were pretty amazing and I am excited about the very near future!

Christmas

November 07th, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

Some have been asking about how plans are progressing on the Christmas community thing we are putting together…

To answer the question - things are progressing! Almost every major piece of the puzzle is in place and now we are waiting on one final thing to make it happen.

The one final thing is a very big one final thing; however, Todd is calling everyone on the planet trying to speed along the process! Hopefully, we will know something by the middle of next week.

coming up

November 06th, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

In order to get to know some of the people on the launch team at Freedom a little better we are hosting dinners on both Wednesday and Thursday night. If that is you - just pick a night, let us know you are coming, and show up for some free food!

It’s going to be a blast!

If we haven’t scared you away by now - you just might be getting ready to experience one of the most incredible jouneys that any of us have ever traveled! :)

Empower

November 05th, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

Empowerment is key for the long term success of any organization. The temptation to just get it done yourself must be avoided if you desire to stretch and grow the people you have been entrusted with.

There is no greater waste of time then doing something well that you shouldn’t have been doing in the first place. Let’s stop expending our energy doing things personally that we could have built a team to do! I

People desire to be part of something that they can give their lives to…. Let’s help make that happen!

Stranger than fiction

November 03rd, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

1 Completion (No, that is not a typo)
14 Attempts
3 Interceptions

I have never seen a major college program quarterback have 3 times as many interceptions as completions in one game. As much as I hate to admit it - that was the worst performance I have ever seen by any quarterback at any level -much less Miami.

The Robert Marve and/or Jacory Harris era needs to begin - and it can’t happen soon enough!

Vision

November 02nd, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

God is doing some incredible things all across the world and He is using a wide variety of people to get these things done! I for one, am EXTREMELY thankful for that!

More than anything, it reiterates that God can use ANYONE to accomplish His purpose! I don’t have to be just like anyone else - I am free to be who God created me to be…

I spend a ton of time learning from GREAT people all over the country - but ultimately, I have to ask God what He wants to accomplish in this community - and then jump on board with His agenda.

God has big plans for Acworth, GA - and I am pumped that He has chosen me to help carry them out!

?

One of the things that I am trying to be intentional about working into my schedule - is taking the time to ask questions.

Asking the right questions keeps me moving in the right direction. The moment that I have more answers than I do questions - is the moment that my leadership development will hit a brick wall.

It seems like the more I learn - the more questions that I have. I think I like it that way!
