Rain
It has rained - much!
It’s all good though. Wallace (our air mattress) did a great job keeping everything dry.
Still alive and things are going well. Now go buy some bikes!

The weather outside is frightful…We are having to use our air mattress as a roof to keep the rain away…
2 commentsBOB update…
Just thought you would like to know that it is 12:43 AM and it is sprinkling…
Living up here is growing on me a little. Close to 70 bikes!
Typing is interesting when you can’t feel your fingers!
No comments60 Bikes
We now have closer to 60 bikes… WalMart had to order 100 extra because we cleaned them out. They are pre-ordering at Register 13!
While I type this, a bat just flew 1 foot away from the top of the lift. Not cool!
No commentsBlog from Above
I am writing this from high above every building in my line of sight…Here’s a quick update…
1. We already have around 30 bicycles!
2. This morning it was Freezing!
3. Met a lot of cool people…
4. Watched a thief running from WalMart - then get tackled by a bunch of guys- and taken to jail.
5. Starbucks just saw what we were doing -and we get free whatever for the next 45 hours!
6. Come out and buy some bikes! We will even let you make fun of us.
7. Todd had to go to WalMart this morning to buy a Sleeping bag, thermal underwear, webcam, gloves, and a bag of ice…I am pretty sure he is now on some sort of government watch list.
UPDATE
Make that 40 Bikes!
4 News Stations are on their way!
3 commentsWhat a week!
The next several days are going to be pretty big…
Bikes or Bust begins tomorrow! That freaks me out a little bit as it initially seemed like a crazy idea that would never actually take place. Living outside for 48 hours while being suspended in the air - when it is 25 degrees…crazy! A lot of FC volunteers are going to be out in the cold as well - you guys and girls are AWESOME!
The Overflow offering is just 6 days away! We are praying for $15,000 that night. That is a HUGE number for a church that hasn’t launched. HUGE! I believe in setting goals so high that when they get acommplished - there is no logical explanation other than God’s intervention. This goal is no exception!
PRAY!
1 commentBikes or Bust Update
Got an email from the Dean of Student Life at North Cobb Christian, Megan Strange…
Hey J.R.
Just thought you might be interested to know that last night, our 36 high schoolers and 6 staff raised $367.66 to buy at least 7 bikes for Bikes or Bust. Thanks for the opportunity to give. Our kids are really excited about this! We’ll buy the bikes on Tuesday.
Have a GREAT weekend!
That is awesome! I know we already have at least 15 bikes so far and we haven’t even made it to the lift! We might be able to impact a TON of families!
1 commentOak Leaf
We took 13 people to Oak Leaf this morning at 6AM to help out and allow our set-up team to get a feel for what life will be like once January rolls around…
We had a great time! Everyone did a great job and I am excited that we all had the opportunity to help out.
They had a great service today! Check Michael’s blog for all the details! Cartersville had a great thing happen when Oak Leaf came to town! Thanks guys for letting us hang out!
1 commentQuick on Saturday
1. Christmas party tonight for the entire launch team! The chocolate fountain alone will be worth the trip!
