The blog is undergoing a massive overhaul. New look, hosting, and a bunch of other words I do not understand.
With that in mind, I will keep you updated on the changes. Much fun will be had I am sure.
1 commentName that Truck
Every truck needs a name. Especially the 1988, 210,000 mile wonder that calls Freedom Church it’s Daddy. Send your suggestion for a name - the winner will be chosen by Friday for a prize that you do not want to miss!
We love this bad boy! Pray for him/her. Seriously!
9 commentsSet up
Everything went great this morning! We have a ton of little things we want to tweak a little, but overall, things went perfectly!
We had a ton of people there at 6AM to help with set-up, etc., and it went very smoothly. They were pumped to be there and we were able to have a lot of fun!
I am pumped about the next few weeks as we prepare for launch Sunday and beyond.

Well tomorrow morning the journey continues…
We are giving our launch team a sneak peak at set-up, tear-down, etc. at our actual location. We have been doing a decent amount of set-up for all of our launch team meetings, and we have helped a few great churches with theirs; however, it will be cool to set up our own stuff.
I have never been more excited about 6AM on Sunday Mornings! An honor and a privilege to impact this city!

1. Canoe. I ate quail, rabbit, and a dessert with a goat cheese center…Sounds putrid, but it was joyous. By far, the best restaurant I have ever been to.
2. Todd bought a gargantuan box truck yesterday. I will announce a contest here soon once I get a picture.
3. Mass quantities of Pipe and Drape have arrived.
4. One of the restaurant employees asked if I needed a larger table since I was “rather tall”.
5. Hung out with Paul Peterson the other day. Expect big things from this guy!
Sacrifice
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
From day one, we have emphasized the fact that we want to develop a Culture of Sacrifice at FC. It sounds good to say, but it is much more difficult to develop than it is to put on paper! We have attempted to model this concept - and I think we are now learning to experience the joy that comes through sacrificial giving of our time, giftedness, and finances.
I am honored to be the Lead Pastor of the yet-to-launch Freedom Church - a group of people who are already coming to grips with and are passionate about…Sacrifice!
No commentsBday!
Today the whole world celebrates the birthday of Devin, the most incredible person on the planet!
Tonight we head out to a party for some good friends in town from Oxford, then Devin and I will hang out at Canoe. I have heard that it is amazing!
Much fun!
