Cards
When Lexi (5 yr. old) was born, I started doing something on the spur of the moment…
Anytime there is a holiday that requires a card (birthday, Vday, etc.), I always buy two. One to give right away and one that I will give much later. For example, when Lexi had her first Valentines day, I bought her a card to open immediately and a card that she would open on Vday as a 13 year old. The following year (2 years old), she would receive another card to open immediately and one to open on Vday as a 14 year old, etc., etc.
Not sure how it will end up, but it is very strange writing something to your “14,15, or 16 year old” daughter when she is just a little girl. I hate it actually, but I think it will be pretty cool down the road. I want them to know how much I love being their dad!Â
No punk boy can give my daugher a gift that will compare to something like this. If he does - I will kill him ![]()

That is the coolest idea ever! Keep it going—she will love it and appreciate it for sure!
I have an eight year old daughter. Be sure you show her how she deserves to be treated… So when that punk comes around.. she will want nothing to do with him because she knows how a guy is to treat a lady.
If that does not work… your right…
“punch him in the throat” (Perry Noble) or kick him in the knee!
JR,
this is a GREAT idea!

I think thats a really cute idea. Most girls are daddy’s little girls and its nice when you’re older to read about how much your dad really does love you even though sometimes you make him angery.
