Blog Etiquette

Category: Uncategorized

The following are a few blog rules we have embraced at Freedom.  Here they are…

  1. We don’t criticize people/churches/organizations/etc.  Ephesians 4:29 guides the conversation and our blogs should function as a tool and not as a weapon.  :)
  2. We don’t react if criticized. Matthew 18:15-20 spells this out.  There are people who pretend to be pious - but totally disregard this verse.  I don’t want to be guilty of this.  Pastors Perry Noble and Johnny Hunt have taught us to only respond to criticism from those who love Jesus and love us.  If the criticism is done in a public forum - that person probably doesn’t love either.
  3.  We dont’ make a habit of posting attendance figures from weekly services.  Nothing wrong with doing that and we might do it on special days - but it will be the exception and not the norm.
  4. We honor Christ and those we are writing about.  Period.

Groundbreaking? No.  Beneficial? Yes.
