Just a thought
- We had a great time at Unleash. Perry did a great job and I love the opportunity to learn from him. I said this the other day, but I will say it again, he is the real deal!
- EasterinAcworth.com begins tomorrow! If only I had “that” picture to post of the random “bunnies” on Cobb Parkway! This will be fun!
- Rain, Rain, go away! (just until after phase 1 of EasterinAcworth.com tomorrow)
- I LOVE having a team of people around me that would go anywhere (literally) and do anything to live out a dream!
- QT supposedly has stopped making a very important ingredient for my favorite drink of all time. If so, it’s back to the average gas station for me
- ACC tournament is underway… Doesn’t get much better than that!
Guest Blog
I have decided to hijack the Pastor’s blog for the morning. With that in mind, I get the incredible opportunity to serve as the Executive Pastor at
- I honor and defend my Pastor. I consider J.R. my best friend in the entire world. Even cooler than that, I get the privilege to call him my Pastor. I desire to honor him and protect him in every way. I don’t just do it because of the fact that it is expected, it’s something that I enjoy doing because I have a high respect for the office of Pastor and I want the very best for my friend.
- I empower our staff to accomplish what God has called them to do. It is my job to make sure they have the resources they need and hold them accountable to be the best they can be.
- I handle the details. I do this so that J.R. can be free to dream. I want him to be casting vision, leading the staff, and preparing messages. I fly at 1000 ft. so that he can fly at 30,000 ft. He is one of the greatest visionary leaders that I have ever been around. I want him to continue to do what he does best!
We are 7 weeks into the incredible journey that is
Executive Pastor.

I can’t wait to get to Anderson, SC for Unleash! Perry Noble is the real deal and I am pumped about sitting under his teaching every time I get the opportunity. He has made a tremendous investment in my life and in the life of Freedom Church - and is definitely one of the most Kingdom-minded people I know. If you haven’t signed up yet - it’s probably too late - but try it anyway. If that doesn’t work, show up at the church, hide in the bushes, and kick the smallest church planter you can find until he gives you his ticket :) Just get there!
Several of us are headed up on Wednesday afternoon to hang out a little in Greenville. If you will be in the area - let me know.
2 commentsPrayer
Every week I pray a very similar prayer leading up to the weekly worship experience. I pray for…
Presence :: We are desperate for the presence of God. If God doesn’t show up in a big way - then we have wasted our time. We do everything we can to operate with excellence; however, apart from the presence of God - it is meaningless.
People :: We unapologetically pray for more people. There are a TON of individuals who are far from God in Acworth. As a result, we work hard to invest in their lives - so that God would continue to send them our way.
Power :: We don’t just want God to show up, we want Him to show off! We desire for people to be changed from who they are to who God desires them to be. The words spoken during the course of that hour are powerful words. Words that bring life, hope, peace, and salvation. We don’t take that lightly. God’s power exhibited is an incredible thing - and we do not want it to be a rare occurence!

The rumor is true.
We are making the move to two services beginning Easter Sunday - 9:30 and 11:00 am. I am excited about making this transition. It opens up a lot of opportunities for our current volunteers, those who will volunteer in the future, and for the people in this community.
The journey continues!

Easter In Acworth!
After moving to Acworth we met with people to find out how we could join hands with this city and become involved in community life by whatever means necessary.
We nailed down Bikes or Bust and a few school partnerships, but decided to cancel our plans for a crazy Easter event because the city of Acworth was already moving full steam ahead on that project. Well, last week all that changed! Because of a scheduling conflict with another great project - James Albright (Parks and Rec Dept.) called us to see if we could handle the Easter Egg Hunt. After 2 seconds of thought - we agreed
If you’re in the area and would like to help - go here and let us know! It’s going to be a blast!
