We have done several little things over the past 6 months in order to spread the word about what God is doing at Freedom. In spite of all that, by far, the greatest asset that we have are our people who are passionate about inviting their friends, family, and neighbors that are far from God.
Every Sunday we have tons of people who have invested time in the lives of others and followed through on that investment by doing whatever it takes to bring people with them. It doesn’t get any better than investing in the life of someone around you and seeing their life changed right before your eyes by the power of the Gospel.
Great job Freedom - you are invitation machines! It only get’s better from here!

What a great week! Hanging out and learning from the guys in Perry’s Coaching Network was a blast. Then, spending time with family, going to a birthday party, date night with Devin, watching the Olympics, and a great day at Freedom yesterday - made for an eventful 3-4 days.
God is stretching us right now - personally and as a church. Personally, I am on a huge growth curve and I feel like a completely different person every couple of weeks. Have you ever felt like that?
The church is experiencing some incredible things as well as we had our best attendance by far yesterday (35% higher than our best day ever) and several people accepted Christ. There are also some great opportunities right in front of us that we are praying through and that could really help us go to a “whole nutha level“.
I love this season that I am in. Pray for me and for my willingness to listen and to change when necessary…

I heard a story a few days ago about Alex, a 6 year old from our church. He and his family were standing in line at the bank when he turned to the lady behind him and said, “Hey, have you ever been to FreedomChurch? - you should come.”
The lady wasn’t sure what to say, except for “Well sure, if your mom will give me all the details, I will do just that!” Sure enough - the lady came on Sunday with the rest of her family. They loved it and said they had been talking about getting involved in a church in the area - and the invite from a 6 year old was all they needed.
All people need is an invitation. It doesn’t get much easier than that. Good job Alex!

We got back from a video shoot today and I am happy to report that we are alive. The day started out with a few hours in the office before we took off to an undisclosed location to film the opening segment of a message that will be given in a few weeks. It was insane. Can’t let you in on everything that we did as of yet - but here are a few facts from the trip…
- Trains can stop better than you thought they could.
- Once they do, it takes a while to get them moving again.
- Things weren’t looking so good until Shiree came to the rescue. She saved the day.
We had a ton of fun, but I am very glad that it is over and I will never do it again. Ever.

I love the opportunities that we have right in front of us! There has never been a better time to be alive, to follow Christ, and to impact the world with the revolutionary message of Christ - than right now.
For the life of me, I can’t remember who said this first, but “Revolutionary movements of God demand revolutionary sacrifce and guarantee revolutionary reward!” At FreedomChurch we believe that - and we are jumping in!
More to come on that very soon!

Over the next several weeks almost everything will change. Kicking off FreedomGroups, FreedomGeneration (Student Ministry), as well as implementing live worship at FreedomKidz will bring about big changes around here.
To get ready for the corporate change in our schedule - I am taking major strides to use my time more effectively as an individual. For whatever reason - this is not easily done. The challenge begins today. Pray for me.

I just realized that it was one year ago today that we had our very first launch team meeting in Acworth. Funny to think about the fact that we probably had around 9 adults in the house that night. I remember going to bed wondering what in the world I had gotten myself into and If I should just give up and head back to Memphis.
A lot sure can happen in a year!

Three big events coming up over the next 10 days… It’s never been easier to invite the people you love and even those you don’t
EasterInAcworth kicks off with the city-wide Easter egg hunt on Saturday in Cauble Park at 10 am, continues on Sunday at TWO services -9:30 and 11:00 am, and finishes off with an After Party like no other immediately following the 11:00 am service the week FOLLOWING Easter.

The rumor is true.
We are making the move to two services beginning Easter Sunday - 9:30 and 11:00 am. I am excited about making this transition. It opens up a lot of opportunities for our current volunteers, those who will volunteer in the future, and for the people in this community.
The journey continues!
