MidWeek Review

August 13th, 2008 | Category: Random
  • Great day on Sunday.  Pipe and Drape came down (on purpose) at 11:00.
  • Big day coming up this week.  Praying for 350.
  • They just opened up a Dippin Dots Ice cream place less than 10 minutes from my house.
  • I am headed to Anderson SC today with Gary and Chris.  Many stories will come out of this trip I am sure.
  • It’s a huge honor to hang out with the guys I will have the opportunity to learn from over the next few days.  Not just the guys I already mentioned, but also Perry, Tadd, Jeff, David, Clay, Jeff C, Daniel, Mark, Dean, and Greg.  What a great opportunity!
  • Michael Phelps is ridiculously talented.
  • The funniest part of the Olympics is watching the Chinese gymnastics team give each other high fives.  I die laughing every single time.
  • The gymnastics stuff is insane.  I get dizzy way too easily- not to mention the fact that I value my face too much - to even attempt the stuff those people can pull off.
  • We need to raise about $20,000 right now.  Can’t wait to see how God’s going to pull this one off.
  • Can’t wait til Sunday!  Going to be a great day!   The Freedom crew are inviting machines!

Diversity

August 06th, 2008 | Category: Random

We are getting ready for Baby #3.  I just realized that as long as everything goes according to plan - all of our kids will have been born in a different state.

Lexi is 6 and was born in South Carolina.

London is 2 and was born in Tennessee.

Baby 3 is 0 and will most likely be born in Georgia.

That seems strange to me.    Not sure if there are a lot of people out there in the same situation.

Almost MidWeek Review

August 05th, 2008 | Category: Random
  • We are praying for some very big things over the next few months.
  • It was nice and sunny this past Sunday for the first time in a while.
  • We are giving out the most random thing this coming Sunday.
  • P90X does not get easier with time!
  • I have woken up 10 times every night for the past several days praying for staff members and things going on around the office.  Not long prayers, just the 20 second kind - then I drift back off to sleep.
  • Counting down the days to the beginning of the Coaching Network thing with Perry.
  • Devin is doing some thing called Ignite and made like $300 last week.  Not bad for a half-hour investment!
  • Lexi starts the 1st grade next week.  Very strange.
  • London thinks she is pregnant.  She is two - so probably not.
  • We have been saying for the past three weeks that if we are passionate from earth about what God is passionate about in heaven - then a revolutionary movement of God will begin to unfold in this community…. Get ready!

Random question of the day…

A friend of ours and local business owner just asked… “Pastor would you mind sitting in a dunk tank for an event in the city of Acworth?”

My response…

“No thanks, I seem to be allergic to aquariums”.  Not sure where that came from but it seemed to fit.  It’s cool that they asked, but not cool enough for me to play along :)

Almost MidWeek Review

  • Yes Devin is pregnant!
  • If we have another girl - instead of gifts - I am setting up a “I have three girls and they probably all want to get married one day” fund.
  • We have been in Charlotte for a few days at Elevation Church.  Love spending time with great leaders and exposing our team to great churches!  8 people went back last night - Todd and I head back this afternoon.
  • Austin and his wife drove up last night for dinner at Outback.  Great things in store for this guy.
  • I have experience a new kind of pillow this week.  It’s short and squatty.  I like it.
  • Do not miss this Sunday!  It will be an insane month - and it all hinges on what happens this week.

One more time?

July 28th, 2008 | Category: Random

I knew that August would kick off a very busy season in our lives.  We are kicking off several things as well as praying through 2-3 major decisions that I am ridiculously excited about at Freedom.  God is increasing our capacity for growth in apregnant.jpgpregnant.jpg big way.  I didn’t think things could get a whole lot busier than they promise to be, until I opened my big mouth… :)

I mentioned last week that we had a ton of pregnant ladies at Freedom - so we decided to keep the trend alive.  Looks like we will be having another kid (3) at some point in April.  Our house will get a lot more interesting - and I can’t wait!

Gift Cards

July 25th, 2008 | Category: Random

Mom and Dad hooked us up with some program for event planners that gets you into Atlanta’s nicest restaurants with a $30 gift card.  When you visit the restaurant and use the card - they immediately give you a $30 gift card to use at another resaurant.  Not a bad deal.  The cost is still a little high, but not nearly as bad as it would be otherwise.

Wednesday night we went to BluePointe and tonight it is looking like we might have to make an appearance here.  Hopefully, it lives up to all the hype.

MidWeek Update

July 23rd, 2008 | Category: Random
  • Great day last Sunday!
  • We are filming a video tomorrow that has me terrified.  I am already nervous.
  • Everytime I show up at church - I find out someone else is pregnant.  I know of 6 right now.
  • August is approaching quickly!  FamilyNightDowntown, FreedomKidz, Groups, and Generation all kick off in less than a month.
  • I have been eating baked fish and chicken for the past 2 months.  Love it.
  • Implementing some new systems in my life.  It’s saving me a ton of time.
  • London asked the funniest question I have ever heard.  I can’t post it on here - but trust me - it was hilarious.
  • I can’t wait until Sunday!  It’s going to be a great day!
  • We are praying some huge prayers right now.  This fall is going to be big at FreedomChurch!

29

July 18th, 2008 | Category: Random

Tomorrow I officially turn 29, so today I am enjoying my last day as a 28 year old.  Just did the legs/back portion of P90X, going to buy some new running shoes, hanging out at the pool, and closing things out at PF Changs.

28 has been an incredible year!  I believe living life this year as a 29 year old - will be even better.
